THANKSGIVING FUN RESOURCES

Thanksgiving will be here before we know it! Can you believe how time flies? There’s no doubt that autumn is a spectacular time of the year and with the upcoming holiday, it’s best to have some quality time with the family.

It’s indeed a lovely time to reflect on your blessings and enjoy pumpkin pie or roasted turkey.  I’m pretty sure you're looking forward to spending time with your loved ones and enjoying a yummy feast associated with the holiday, but there are plenty of days of class left to get through before everyone can enjoy Thanksgiving whether you’re a teacher or homeschool mom.

Whatever depth you choose to go with the Thanksgiving learning for your students, keep in mind that it's always essential to be educational and positive. Your students are never too young to understand the value of thankfulness and the worth of everyone's freedom.

THANKSGIVING RESOURCE BUNDLES:

November is an excellent time to focus on gratitude and Thanksgiving-related activities. There are numerous great resources to select from in the spirit of Thanksgiving. Keep the kids busy by having fun and learning at the same time!

These are ready-to-use Thanksgiving Day worksheets that are perfect for teaching students about this momentous holiday as a day of giving thanks for the blessing of the harvest and of the preceding year.

Here are our personal favorites!

Thanksgiving Literacy Worksheets

Need a one-stop shop learning more about Thanksgiving for your students? In the month of November, these spelling, grammar, and syllable worksheets feature Thanksgiving words to reinforce standards-based abilities.

They can learn specific words and phrases about Thanksgiving sufficiently to expand their vocabulary and grasp standard English capitalization, punctuation, and spelling in writing.

Don’t forget to include writing and vocabulary activities in your Thanksgiving learning! These exercises are fun, engaging, and unique for teaching kindergarten and first grade children.

These activities will help children identify resources related to Thanksgiving and acquire knowledge of the traditions and history of this American holiday.

What’s the fun in teaching children about Thanksgiving without some arts and crafts? Have your child decorate a turkey or Native Americans and write down something that they’re thankful for on it. Thanksgiving Print and Go Crafts are designed mainly for kids to help them develop fine motor skills.

These color, cut, and glue activities provide numerous opportunities to teach Native American cultures, turkeys, pumpkins, pilgrims, and fall to students.

So there you have it! It always amazes me how you can make learning so much fun so that they don’t even realize they are doing work! I hope this email was helpful and entertaining, and that my writings empower you.

From my family to yours, may you be blessed with an OINKTASTIC Thanksgiving experience with family, friends, and neighbors, however you spend your day.
